Upper Canada Village is a heritage park that lets you experience a rural English Canadian village in the late 19th century (around 1860s). It features over 40 authentic buildings, several working mills, and trade buildings. Most of the houses were physically moved there during the Seaway Project. The village staff, dressed in clothing of the time, is demonstrating various activities such as gardening and traditional farming vegetables and livestock. Other trade demonstrations include blacksmith, cabinetmaker, baker, shoemaker, cooper, physician and many more. Kids of all ages can enjoy the village, with lots of learning activities.

Opening time (2019): Regular Summer high-season: May 3 – September 2, everyday between 9:30 – 17:00, September 4-15 (Wednesday to Sunday only) between 9:30 – 17:00.
During the fall and spring, group guided tours are offers – check website for more details
Entry fees (2019) during the regular high-season time: adult (19-64 years old) $22, children (5-12 years old) $13 and kids 4 and under go free.
Miniature train fees are not included in the gerenal admission fees.
Restaurants: few restaurants on site, mainly cafeteria style

Tips:
- Schedule your day and do not miss any activity – take a photo of the daily activities. The information board is located in the main building and it also includes the miniature train schedule. The train is located near the car parking, outside the village. It offers short and long rides.
- Depending on the activities you have chosen and how busy the village is, take into consideration that the towboat (horse-drawn boat, map number 8), located at the entrance of the village, reaches the Signal Tower (map number 24) and back. We toured the village anti-clockwise starting at the horse-drawn boat.
